The associate veterinarian is responsible for maintaining animal health by diagnosing, preventing, and treating disease and injury in their patients. They work under the direct supervision of the owner/doctor(s) and medical director of Companion Animal Hospital. Associate veterinarians must make every possible effort to improve the quality of care given to our patients at Companion Animal Hospital.
Veterinary assistants/technicians assist the doctors to the extent of their abilities to improve and enhance the level of care provided to our patients. They are also responsible for aiding the doctors in performing more efficiently by relieving them of technical work at the hospital. The veterinary assistant/tech is guided and supervised by the lead assistant/technician, hospital manager, and hospital owner.
The groomer’s primary duty is to provide care, grooming, and other basic needs to pets that are being groomed, boarded, or staying at the hospital as patients. The groomer reports directly to the hospital manager.
The receptionist performs many different functions at the hospital, including record keeping, clerical duties related to patient care and treatment, providing miscellaneous support to the hospital manager and healthcare team, maintaining client records, processing payments, and data entry. The receptionist must also be knowledgeable regarding the hospital’s organization, services, standard procedures, rules and regulations, and terminology.
